Our Cowlife presents at the 12th Annual Undergraduate Student Research Awards

On September 10, 2018, the 12th Annual Poster Presentation for Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) was held at Macdonald Campus. USRA is a program funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), which allows undergraduate students to get research experience during the summer months.

One of the students that presented a poster was our summer intern, Jessica St-Pierre. Jessica presented her summer project “Automation of injury assessment on dairy cows using 3D scanner”. You can find out more about the 3D scanners and Jessica’s project here.

A total of 26 posters were presented this

year – up 5 from last year! Congratulations to Jessica for her awesome poster and also to all the other students that presented their summer projects. You all did an amazing job!

Thank you to NSERC, the organizers of the poster presentation, and any other sponsors that made this event possible! We look forward to the poster session next year.
