Predicting dairy cow locomotor ability by applying machine learning to kinematic data

The 2022 ADSA (American Dairy Science Association) annual meeting held in-person after two years of pandamic. We are proud to annouce that Anna Bradtmueller, Former graduate student of our lab, present her research "Predicting dairy cow locomotor ability by applying machine learning to kinematic data" . The reseach was a collaboration project between McGill CowLife and UQAM Computer science labs focusing on two types of artificial neural networks to predict locomotion scores in cows based on the 3D coordinate data we got from the kinematic technology installed in our lab.

To read more about this project you can check "Applications of BioMOOchanics Technologies to Evaluate Dairy cow Locomotion" post in our blog.
