Raised on my family’s dairy goat farm, I have developed a strong interest for this growing production, and therefore I have decided to pursue my master’s study in this sector. I have always been passionate about animals and have worked on many different dairy goats and cattle farms to build on experience, as well as being involved in many agriculture-related organizations outside of school. I started working with Elsa Vasseur in 2017 and we initiated two projects related to dairy goat kid rearing practices in Canada.

The first part of my study was to develop a survey on dairy goat kid rearing practices in order to identify what the common rearing practices are on Canadian farms as this is something we did not know before. This was followed by an experiment on dairy goat kid weaning age carried out at the research farm of the “Centre de Recherche en Sciences Animales de Deschambault (CRSAD)” from March to June 2019. I am currently working on the publication of these two studies, as well as a literature review on dairy goat kid management in Canada, USA and France.
