Rebekah Chen
B.Sc. Student
I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in Quantitative Biology at McGill. Growing up, I was always drawn to nature and wildlife. This fascination led me to volunteer and work with various species of animals, where I learned about the challenges they confront. My experience has sparked my interest in pursuing a career in the research field in the future. With a strong interest in conservation biology and animal welfare, I joined the lab summer 2023 to learn more about the research processes and how the ongoing research bridges the political gap in a real-life setting. My goal is to contribute to discovering effective ways to predict changes in nature and how they can affect wildlife animals. I hope to promote human interventions that reduce wildlife animal suffering at a low cost without significantly impinging upon human interests.
