Amir Nejati

M.Sc. Candidate

Looking back at my academic life, I acquired my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. During an internship I did at this time, I became interested in cow comfort and dairy cattle lameness. I participated in several hoof care workshops, did part-time volunteer jobs as a hoof trimmer assistant in local dairy farms, and worked on locomotion scoring.

After graduation in 2013, I professionally started working in hoof care programs and lameness management. Since that time, I have worked with many dairy cattle herds (from 100 to 3,500 milking cows) in different parts of Iran. However, to further progress in my career, I believed that I should improve my knowledge in my favorite field of research which is why I joined McGill for a Master's degree in animal sciences.
