Amir Nejati

Research Assistant

Amir joined McGill University to pursue his MSc in animal science in January 2019. Soon after graduation, he began working with us as a research assistant in July 2021.

Amir’s MSc research project at McGill involved technology applications in bovine gait analysis and evaluating the effectiveness of outdoor access on improving gait and hoof health in cows housed in a movement-restricted environment.

 

Amir also holds a DVM degree from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. Prior to joining McGill University, he worked as a veterinarian, lameness consultant and hoof trimmer in several dairy cattle farms in Iran for 6 years.
